The study is for full-throttle operation at 30,000 feet. The dependence of brake horsepower on supercharger performance is stressed. Three cases are considered: (1) inadequate supercharging, (2) supercharging to constant manifold pressure, and (3) supercharging to detonation-limited manifold pressure.
